Paris is my homing beacon // Paris Photographer
I have felt so nostalgic lately. Box after box of negatives and contact sheets beckon. Years ago my friend Alexis and I landscaped in the NJ summer sun and saved enough to buy plane and train tickets to Europe. I often feel like everything I do is in some way trying to get back to Paris.
I spent the formative years of my childhood in an apartment in the 14th arrondissement, learned to ride a bike in the Bois du Boulogne, and memorised the number of steps home from the Metro if I ever got lost. More than anywhere I have ever lived Paris feels like home to me. Does it call you too?
At Pere Lachaise cemetery Alexis and I hunted for Chopin’s grave.
