Iceland Bridal Inspiration // Iceland Destination Elopement Photographer

Two years ago I decided to spend my tax return on my dream of turning my lifelong dream into a business. On the sweet emailed advice of a photographer friend that the only way to make my vision of photographing adventure and love in some of the most beautiful places in the world is to get on a plane, go somewhere amazing and make images!

I took this advice and I have not looked back.

The adventure begins when we pick up our model Astakatrin at her apartment in our rental car and she directs us over the hills, down dirt roads through the mists and eventually the driving rain to the most amazing craggy cliffs. We traveled with voluminous vintage dresses crammed in our luggage and Astakatrin makes incredibly resourceful use of the backseat and boot of our tiny rental car to change. Tom carries her barefoot on his back to the top of a craggy peak.

The rain pours, the wind blows and we revel in the majesty of the changeable Icelandic weather. I mop my lens off with my cotton t-shirt and Tom runs a coat up to Asta every few shots to stave off her shivering. We are in heaven.
